Maria J. (Ferreira) Almeida,88, passed on December 9th, 2022. She was the wife of the late Joaquim Almeida, Born in Viseu, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Antonio Joaquim Ferreira and Maria Gloria De Jesus. She emigrated to the United States in 1969 and was employed by Healthtex of Central Falls for many years. She was a longtime Pawtucket resident. Maria enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family. The great joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Ribeiro, her husband Antonio, a son, Antonio Almeida, his wife Anabela, three grandchildren, Michael Ribeiro, his partner Lauren Watt and Richard Ribeiro his wife Dali, and Kiona Almeida, six great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister all in Viseu Portugal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16th from 4pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 17th at 11am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
